Mend your Mind

Do you ever felt the need of speaking your heart out but couldn't find the right person? Or was it that you felt so lonely and devastated that you thought there lies no happiness in the world for you? Friends, we are 7 billion people human beings altogether and still counting. Why is that we feel doomed and isolated in certain phases of our life. The crowd of our own species all around us does not make us feel comfortable but stressed.

I am sure this is not the story in the case of many people who keep themselves motivated, people who actually manage to strike a balance between their work and family lives. They can do it because they know how to prioritize things.

Let me share with you a little story of two childhood friends named Robin and David who grew up to become engineers. They studied together, graduated together as well and surprisingly got job in the same company. Since childhood they used to meet each other in evening time. As they grew older they had to look after the priorities of their families and thus got separated by a certain distance.

Even when at office, Robin and David could not find time to inquire about each other’s farewell. It wasn't that they were intentionally doing so but the thing was that their minds were getting changed unknowingly.

This happens with most of us, isn't that true? We would love someone like crazy beings and then maybe it happens that we rarely talk to that friend or loved one as time moves on. It is just because one keeps on frequenting different needs to answer with the passage of time.

Now, let us move back to the story of two close buddies who lost track of their friendship. Well both of them were married and had kids too. The only thing that was uncommon for the two to have was their approach of living life. David was not able to perform well at work and couldn't attend to her wife and children in a proper manner. Days would pass and he lived like a machine. There was no excitement in his life (as per him). While on the other hand, Robin was doing great, excelling at work and making her family members happy with his attention and love.

We all know how the two different stories will move. I need not talk about the story anymore as there are so many Davids and Robin around us. And see, that is what I started this post with. There are people who lose enthusiasm towards life and remain unable to discover that how lucky they are to get a human life. On the flip side, one finds people who are super-excited to start each day with energy and zeal to achieve.

Life is never measured in days, months or years but in moments. One should stop having negative assumptions about life. If there is a David who wishes to be like Robin and catch up with his/her old time buddy then it is his story which needs a makeover. The interesting part is that it only the person who feels as if he/she has failed can enlighten his/her soul to jump out of confusions, frustrations and all such negative energy. I hope we all are able to do so.
